Urban Air Trampoline Park

Location:  Killeen, Texas
Completion Date: August 2018
Customer: Private Sector
Contract Amount:  $2,417,995
Project: Urban Air Trampoline & Adventure Park

We had the pleasure of building from the ground up, one of the nation’s premier Indoor Trampoline & Adventure Parks, Urban Air. Its an award-winning wall-to-wall trampoline arenas, performance trampolines, dodgeball courts, drop zone, slam dunk tracks, trampoline runway, and an area for ages 7 and under. In addition to the trampoline attractions, this location included Urban Air’s latest adventure attraction, called the Urban Two-Story Warrior Course™, Warrior Battle Beam, TUBES Indoor Playground, Sky Track Indoor Coaster and Indoor Ropes Course.

From the beginning, we had challenges – from the freezing rainy weather impacting the select base mix of the site work, to all the indoor equipment was delivered 3 months before schedule, to changes the owner wanted right before the opening, that had to be approved by the City Engineers before work could be successfully completed. Despite these challenges, with the help of 15 local subcontractors with scopes including Site Work, Masonry, Plumbing, Metal Building Fabrication, Carpentry, HVAC, Electric, Mechanical, Paving, and Painting, we were able to release a completed & equipped building 10days ahead of schedule, ready to entertain the waiting community.

KI5014 Horizontal Construction Package #9

The nature of this project required that NNAC support and manage pavement and subgrade repairs to 12 large, separate areas across Fort Hood at once. NNAC provided diligent supervision and quality assurance to ensure that all areas were completed timely and to specification to allow use of the construction areas on time.

KI17008 Urban Air Killeen

NNAC worked closely with the franchise owners of this project to adapt the design and final product to meet the trampoline park’s specific requirements. Several adaptations were made to the PEMB to ensure the facility could accommodate the trampoline park equipment and rides, while also meeting city building codes and safety requirements. NNAC also performed several scopes of work as construction allowances, allowing the customer to save money and stay under budget.

KI17010 Samuel Adams Brew Pub – NAF Ft Hood

NNAC performed this project as a design-build to renovate one of the oldest buildings on Fort Hood into a Sam Adams Brewery pubs. NNAC addressed several building deficiencies during construction including asbestos and mold abatement, structural repairs, and correcting pre-existing electrical issues that had been out of code for decades. NNAC worked closely with several involved parties to include the pub management, facility owners, DPW, Sam Adams Brewery and their contracted interior decorators to deliver an end product that met everyone’s needs and showcased the pub’s unique character and themes.

KS18001 Repair Drainage B & D NFH

This project is currently ongoing and is part of a Department of the Army funded program to improve drainage failures for the entirety of the North Fort Hood campus that covers over 4 square miles. The training area is extremely flat, so the drainage improvements are being successfully constructed within extremely tight tolerances. In addition to taking on over $1.5M in extra work due to various unforeseen utility conflicts, NNAC has worked closely with Fort Hood DPW to come up with unique and creative solutions to address improved drainage at locations where available space is extremely limited and shallow, while also reducing surface erosion issues.

KI17003 Rehab Landfill Lake Dam

This project was directed awarded to NNAC as an emergency repair project. The dam had failed after continuous heavy rains, causing the dam and spillway to breach with floodwaters and cause damage to downstream facilities. NNAC worked diligently with DPW and subcontractors to expedite the repairs, working extended hours and weekends, completing the construction scope and preparing the lake for resumed water retention in less than 4 weeks.
